David Sheril

Senior Counsel

Mr. Sheril serves as CLP’s legal counsel, with overall responsibility for the firm’s legal affairs and management of outside counsel. Specifically, Mr. Sheril provides legal guidance for acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financings. In addition, Mr. Sheril provides legal support with respect to fundraising, investor relations, and corporate governance and compliance matters.

Prior to joining CLP, Mr. Sheril was with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Hahn & Hessen LLP, where he focused on commercial and business litigation, asset acquisition and financing, insurance, and bankruptcy. Mr. Sheril has also served as a judicial intern for The Honorable James A. Yates in the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court, New York County.

Mr. Sheril received his J.D., cum laude, from St John’s University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Sheril served as a member and Articles Editor on the St. John’s Law Review.  Mr. Sheril is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
