Mike McNamara

Chief Capital Markets Officer

Mr. McNamara joins Castle Lanterra with over 25 years of real estate investing, lending and advisory expertise involving most asset classes, product types, entities, and structures spanning North America, UK/EMEA and Asia.  He has led, recruited, or been a part of diverse teams leading over $50 billion of transactions and managed portfolios/businesses exceeding $20 billion.  Mr. McNamara has significant executive/senior management leadership, ongoing, and transitional experience including managing and restructuring businesses focused on principal equity investment and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and formation, joint ventures, corporate, portfolio, and asset level restructuring, asset management, credit and risk management, new product development, origination and distribution, and proactive general management. Mr. McNamara also sits on Castle Lanterra’s Investment Committee.  

Mr. McNamara began his career at Kenneth Leventhal/EY before moving to RBS Global Banking and Markets.  While at Kenneth Leventhal/EY, he served as Partner/Principal, Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Capital Markets and Investment Banking in the US and held a similar role in the UK where he established the Real Estate Corporate Finance business.  As Regional Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Finance in London for RBS Global Banking and Markets, Mr. McNamara led a 300-person team in the principal investing and lending businesses in the UK and EMEA.  Prior to joining Castle Lanterra, Mr. McNamara served as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Markets for The Goldenberg Group, a material and successful family office investor and developer of large-scale real estate projects.  He also served in interim executive management roles at Concord Hospitality and Classic Group where he led transformational capital events. Throughout his career, Mr. McNamara has served on or advised a number of public and private executive boards and committees, while developing innovative solutions to complex challenges for his shareholders, clients, and partners.

Mr. McNamara received a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.
